We finally tried one of the fish “restaurants” at Fuxin East road. Three types of fish, clams and crab (tried neither bullfrog nor snake). Food is fresh as can be and extremely tasty. Not cheap but well worth it. Continue reading “Fish no chips”
Some impressions from a short walk, today.
After just another very long week (some work looming on the weekend, again), we decided to spent a relaxed weekend at home.
We kicked off Friday night with Michis friend Jana at Yongkang Lu, Shanghai’s infamous expat bar street (check the beer prices before ordering. You ca easily pay 10€ for a tap beer…). Continue reading “Tailor made”
This weekend, we took the chance to stay in Hangzhou for a visit after a customer meeting on Friday. Qiming and his family joined us and were excellent tour guides.

On our way home, we discovered some incredible backstreets. A trip to the past. Incredible to see people live in one-room apartments (toilets and even the kitchen sink outside on the street). The street market was outright amazing. No words needed Continue reading “Shanghai backstreets “

Michi arrived in China today after her “visa trip” to Germany. Tried the hotspot place in the food in Food Inn at Zhangyang Rd. Definitely a place to revisit (although the hotspot was so spicy that the even the steam burned in the nose). Continue reading “Michi is back”
We had our first meeting in the new office today. The guys did a great job with the decorations. Wide open spaces, glass walls for the conference rooms. Will be a great place to work. Continue reading “New Office”
I was lucky, this time. One day before I arrived, temperatures dropped from over 40C to 25C. So I may live another day. Interesting fact: if you ask nicely, you may bring your own drinks to the restaurant.
Today I am back in Shanghai. Have to get up way to early (7:00). Michi just landed in PVG. So this will be a great day!
