Mobiking in Beijing

After an interesting week in Beijing (met Bill Gates in the revolving door of our hotel, Westin Financial Street), we took the chance to visit Yvonne and Miguel and spend a day with them biking around the city. Sunday afternoon was rainy but good enough to visit the Summer Palace without the large crowds.

On Friday (24.04.) we celebrated a successful workweek with Joerg by feasting on Duck du Chines Beijing Duck (the rest of the evening is lost in some beer in Margarita drinks).

On Saturday, Michi and I met Yvonne and Miguel at Nanluoguxiang and started out to explore the surrounding Hutongs. We have coffee in one of the small cafes around the area before we hop on our Mobikes and take a ride around town. First South to Tienanmen Square (its actually kind of cool to bike here) and then clockwise around the Forbidden City. We ride past Beihai to Yindingqiao and the Red Clock Tower. In the evening, we cycle to the Great Leap Brewery in Dongzhimen. They may just have the best burger in Beijing or China.

On Sunday, we brunch at Atmosphere Bar at 80th floor of Shangri la at China World, Jianguomen Street. The view is great, the food is not so great. In the afternoon, we relaxing in the hotel.
