For our 9th anniversary, Michi organized a surprise brunch at Waldof Astoria, today. We started out with Champagne and Oysters in the Long Bar. The Oysters are the best we have had in Shanghai so far.
About an hour later, we move on to the restaurant one floor below. The buffet is opulent; quality is top notch. In addition, we are served three dishes. We have (1) poached eggs (excellent) and foie gras omelette (ok), (2) boston lobster (very good) and foie gras (excellent) and (3) belgian waffels (excellent) and pancakes (very good). In addition, Waldorf brings us an anniversary cake.
Completely full and slightly drunk on Perrier Jouet Champagne we make our way back home for a relaxing evening.
